When people ask me, “So, what exactly is the Capitalist Club?” I usually smile, because the truth is — it didn’t start out as a business at all.
Back in 2018, I was just hosting poker nights with a few close friends at my house. Nothing fancy. A couple of drinks, some cards, and a lot of conversations that went way beyond the game. Over time, I noticed something powerful: those nights weren’t really about poker. They were about people. Deals started taking shape, friendships grew stronger, and a community really started to form. With most players being business owners and professionals a lot of the value was in the players and the community we all created. Poker was just a good medium to get everyone together
When the pandemic hit, those gatherings became more than entertainment — they became a lifeline as everything shut down we were still able to have our weekly poker games that everyone looked forward to. In a time when everyone felt isolated, our little circle kept showing up for each other. Growing more and more each month to the point I was hosting 3 tables full of players
Then my life shifted, My daughter was born, and suddenly the living room poker nights weren’t so practical anymore. But instead of letting it fade, I decided to build something bigger — a space that could capture that same energy of connection, but on a more formal and larger scale. That’s when Capitalist Club was born.
The Capitalist Club derived from our poker games but its evolving into so much more a coworking facility, a lounge, a networking hub, and a space for ambitious people to come together. This fits greatly with the culture of the business oriented poker community that will be the initial lifeblood of the company. I look forward to sharing this journey with the community and seeing where it takes us.
Cheers, Semper Fi
